M. F. Keeler Beer Bottle (1880s)
This Keeler beer bottle has a blob top that dates it to the mid to late 1880s. The neat thing about the Keeler bottles is there are so many color variants, honey amber, amber, and even a greenish amber color. Produced by the Clyde Glass Works, Clyde, NY. The Keeler bottles are quite sought after at bottle shows, selling for $40 - $50, depending on condition (no chips or cracks) and color.
Found this bottle in my backyard while preparing flower beds.
Doug, what can I say...great minds think alike! All I can say is, keep digging. What other treasures are buried in your backyard. Thanks for visiting and please stop back again.
ReplyDeleteOh how neat to find that great bottle and also how neat that you and Tom both showed something about Clyde.
