Set in the California hills outside of Los Angeles, the story begins with a rape in an Orthodox Jewish Community mikvah. This is the first encounter between Peter Decker and Rina Lazarus and it becomes an entangled Jew/Gentile romance. The story is a simple murder mystery; than a thriller.
