Double-crested Cormorant

Hoopes Park

A picture perfect park view awaits visitors and residents traveling west into Auburn, New York as they pass by Hoopes Park one of Central New York’s most attractive city parks.

At Hoopes Park work is being done to replicate planting beds throughout the park using plans drawn in 1931. From the pond, to the gazebo, to gardens and the clubhouse - this park is a great example of what citizens can do when working together.

Since the early 1900s Hoopes Park has hosted community events from summer concerts to art and antique shows.  And on any day rain or shine (even snow!) you can take an early morning walk around the pond, feed the ducks, take a family photo, or just sit and read a book. The park has also become a destination location for weddings from May through October.
